Nicholas Erho

Bioinformatics Engineer, GenomeDx

I graduated from TWU in 2007 with a Bachelors of Science. Although I started my acedemic career with Biology as a major, after I took my first Computer Science course I knew my calling in life was to develop software so I quickly switched my major to Computing Science, with Biology as a minor.

Canada is my country of origin and my current home. I could not have asked for a more beautiful country in which to have been raised.

I often program just for fun, solving interesting computer science problems like the ones found on Project Euler. Other times I code with more purpose in mind, building useful software.

In 2010 I completed my Masters of Science at Simon Fraser University. Focusing my research in the area of Bioinformatics, I developed a novel RNA gene discovery algorithm.

GenomeDx Bioscience Inc. has employed me as a Bioinformatics Engineer since April 2011. My main role involves building statistical software for microarray analysis.

I enjoy back country camping and hiking.

I play outlaw paintball on weekends.

Since a young child, I have loved trains.

I am privilaged to do scientific research for a living, as science has always been a passion of mine.
